Project Details
Chris wanted to connect with community members, share news, and showcase the neighborhood. As president of the Gywnns Falls Community Association, he decided it was time for a website.
Research & Discovery
Chris joined Cheltenham Avenue for our Brand Discovery Workshop, an energizing kickoff to building the foundation for his new website. We started with Eden—our signature brand questionnaire that invites honest reflection, uncovers the details that matter, and sparks fresh inspiration for how the community wanted to show up online. The insights we uncovered together created a shared sense of clarity and direction, giving us a unified vision to guide every creative step ahead.

Theme: Traveling the neighborhood
Inspired by a walk we took with Chris, the theme, Traveling the Neighborhood, captures the spirit of exploration and everyday discovery as neighbors connect with their growing community. Rooted in a sense of movement and exploration, the theme highlights the Gwynns Falls neighborhood through a lens of curiosity and connection. Its warm, bright colors and approachable typography invite viewers to wander, while thoughtfully designed, colorful icons of community locations guide viewers naturally from one location to the next as they scroll the website.
Design & Development
Playful shapes, bright colors, and easy navigation for community members. Built using Squarespace 7.1.
Custom Iconography
Custom-designed icons help a community association’s website feel intentional, distinctive, and rooted in its unique identity rather than looking generic or off-the-shelf. Most importantly, custom icons add personality and warmth, helping the website feel welcoming, memorable, and truly reflective of the community it represents. At Cheltenham, we handcraft every website to deliver a unique design for every client.
